Dr. Nazim Aman Hunzai holds a PhD in the Sociology of Education with a specialization in Citizenship Education from The Education University of Hong Kong. He also earned a Master’s degree in Muslim Cultures from the Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC), London, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Karachi۔
With more than 15 years of academic and professional experience across six universities, Dr. Hunzai has built an extensive portfolio in research, teaching, educational leadership, and human resource development. His career includes serving as a researcher at The Education University of Hong Kong and as an Assistant Professor at IQRA University before joining AKU-IED.
His research focuses on life and values education, citizenship, and global citizenship education, with particular emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion, democracy, and sustainability in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ڈاکٹر نظیم امان ہنزائی نے دی ایجوکیشن یونیورسٹی آف ہانگ کانگ سے سوشیالوجی آف ایجوکیشن میں پی ایچ ڈی کی ڈگری حاصل کی، جس میں ان کی تخصص شہریت کی تعلیم (Citizenship Education) ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ انہوں نے آغا خان یونیورسٹی انسٹی ٹیوٹ فار دی اسٹڈی آف مسلم سولائزیشنز (AKU-ISMC)، لندن سے مسلم کلچرز میں ماسٹرز، جبکہ جامعہ کراچی سے پبلک ایڈمنسٹریشن میں ماسٹرز کی ڈگری حاصل کی۔
چھ مختلف جامعات میں 15 سال سے زائد تدریسی اور پیشہ ورانہ تجربے کے حامل ڈاکٹر نظیم امان ہنزائی تحقیق، تدریس، تعلیمی قیادت اور انسانی وسائل کی ترقی کے شعبوں میں نمایاں خدمات انجام دے چکے ہیں۔ وہ AKU-IED میں شمولیت سے قبل دی ایجوکیشن یونیورسٹی آف ہانگ کانگ میں بطور محقق اور اقرا یونیورسٹی میں بطور اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر خدمات انجام دے چکے ہیں۔
ان کی تحقیق کا محور لائف اینڈ ویلیوز ایجوکیشن، شہریت کی تعلیم اور عالمی شہریت کی تعلیم ہے، جس میں تنوع، مساوات، شمولیت، جمہوریت اور پائیداری جیسے موضوعات پر خصوصی توجہ دی جاتی ہے، جو اقوام متحدہ کے پائیدار ترقیاتی اہداف (SDGs) سے ہم آہنگ ہیں۔
